Causes of Air Bubbles in Rubber Products Vulcanization

For rubber products, it is common to encounter bubbles in the vulcanization process. We analyze the causes of the bubbles as follows:

a. High humidity of the material. Can add calcium oxide during mixing for improving.

b. The rubber mixing is uneven and the operation process is not standardized.

c. The rubber film laying time is not enough, the environment is unsanitary and management is not standardized.

d. The pressure is not enough while vulcanizing.

e. The quality of vulcanizing agent, the decomposition of impurities causes bubbles to remain in the product.

f. The product is not fully vulcanized.

g. Insufficient exhaust during vulcanization.

h. Receip problems, the vulcanization system should be improved.

i. Exhaust design of the mold is unreasonable, the gas can not be discharged in time when the rubber material strikes the line.

j. The product is too thick and the amount of rubber is too small. The heat transfer of the rubber is slow, after the appearance is vulcanized and the rubber fluidity would decrease that causes the lack of material to form bubbles.

There are many causes of air bubbles, and it would occur with the process handling poorly.
