Rubber classification and five major systems

A. Basic characteristics of rubber

1. Elasticity
2. Shock cushioning
3, Dependent on temperature
4. Electrically insulating
5. Aging
6. Small specific gravity, low hardness and good flexibility

B. Rubber definition

Rubber is a highly elastic polymer compound (having a molecular weight of generally more than 100,000), and thus has high elasticity which is not possessed by other materials. It is also called an elastomer.

C. Raw rubber natural rubber source.

1. Wild rubber: rubber produced from wild tree plants.
2. Cultivated rubber: mainly trefoil trees.
3. Rubber grass rubber: 150-200KG for one hectare.
4. Eucommia gum: extracted from the roots and stems of Eucommia ulmoides. Inelastic at room temperature, high softening point, large specific gravity, good water resistance

D. Five systems of formula.

1. Body material
2. Softening speed increasing system:
Reduce the viscosity of the rubber compound, improve the processing performance and reduce the hardness of the finished product.
3. Vulcanization system
The rubber linear large house is cross-linked to form a space network structure to improve performance and stabilize the shape.
4. Reinforcement filling system
Improve rubber mechanical properties, improve processing performance and reduce costs.
5. Protection system
Delay rubber aging and prolong service life
