The plastic mechanical mixer's refining machine is divided into three types,elliptical rotor internal mixer, triangular rotor Internal Mixer and cylindrical rotor internal mixer according to the cross-sectional geometry of the inner rotor.

The main components of the plastic mechanical mixer include the mixing chamber, the rotor, the upper top bolt, the lower top bolt, the cooling system, the lubrication system, the sealing device and the transmission. The mixing chamber is the main working part of the internal mixer,which has two rotors rotating at different speeds for mastication or mixing.

In the rubber mixing process,the working principle of the plastic mechanical mixer is feeding in the raw rubber or other materials added from the hopper, then materials first fall into the upper part of the two relatively rotating rotors, under the pressure of the upper plug and the friction, which are brought into the gap between the two rotors and subjected to kneading.

Then, the rib of the lower top plug separates the rubber into two parts, and respectively passes through the gap between the surface of the rotor and the front wall of the mixing chamber with the rotor rotates, after being subjected to strong mechanical shearing and tearing, reaching the upper part of the mixing chamber.

Under the influence of different speeds of the rotor, the two rubber compounds merge at different speeds at the upper part of the two rotors and enter the gap between the two rotors again and again.

In the whole work of the internal mixer, when the raw rubber material is masticated in the internal mixer, it is subjected to both strong mechanical stress and thermal oxidative cracking, so the plastic mechanical mixer can transfer the raw rubber material into plasticity in a short time.
