The two-stage mixing method refers to the method of mixing and pressing tablets through a mixer twice to make a mixed rubber. This method is suitable for rubber compounds with a synthetic rubber content of more than 50%, which can avoid the disadvantages of long mixing time and high rubber temperature in the one-stage mixing process. The first-stage mixing is the same as the first-stage mixing method, except that no vulcanizing and highly active accelerators are added. After the first-stage mixing, the lower sheet is cooled and parked for a certain period of time, and then the second-stage mixing is carried out. After mixing evenly, the material is discharged to the tablet press, and then the vulcanizing agent is added, and the tablet is unloaded after turning. The segmented mixing method has a shorter mixing time, lower mixing temperature, more uniform dispersion of the compounding agent, and high quality of the rubber compound.

The mixing process of the open mixer is divided into three stages, namely wrapping roller (softening stage of adding raw rubber), eating powder (mixing stage of adding powder) and turning (after eating powder, both raw rubber and compounding agent can reach the desired level). evenly dispersed stage).

The difference between closed mixing and open mixing

The temperature during open mastication is generally below 80 °C, which belongs to the low-temperature mechanical mixing method. The degumming temperature of closed mixing is above 120 °C, even as high as 160-180 °C, which belongs to high temperature mechanical mixing.
